My life has had many journeys and paths, some of which were planned and others that were not. In 2002, my family experienced a traumatic event and I decided to plan to leave a career I loved that was high demanding, kept me away from my husband and babies for far too many hours in a day. I gave myself the gift of increased family time the Christmas of 2005. I took with me the enjoyment of assisting individuals and family’s successes in a variety of areas when adversity and at times traumatic events happened in their lives. I started to work with children and families enrolled with the Arizona Early Intervention Program (AzEIP). That work lead to training those who cared for the most vulnerable of our community…children. My love of working with children was born. Three years after my traumatic experience, I was ready to seek help and I met the most wonderful therapist. She planted a seed in me about becoming a therapist myself. That seed needed lots of watering and thought. In 2009, the journey to my second career started. I embrace working with clients in their recovery from trauma to increase self-worth, self-acceptance, and living a happy life. My approach is compassionate, non-judgmental, warm, and genuine. I invite clients to explore their strengths and together we can promote healing and growth from a place of hope.

My work is with children ages 5 to 10, parents, families, and adults age 18 and over. I believe there is healing from trauma which can lead to a healthy and meaningful life.

I have been serving the Tucson community for the past 28 years. I have had the opportunity to support children, adults, families and elderly through their journeys involving personal growth, loss, health, parenting, mental health, incarceration, adoption, reunification, communication, dying, and other life transitions. My education, training and experience as a social worker has taught me the importance of meeting people where they are and providing support in a way that is meaningful to them. Additionally as a bilingual-bicultural female, I understand the importance of culture, and my goal is to provide support in culturally sensitive manner.
